Trailing …….Naaahhhh …Leading Spouse

Hey …All there…. Just a share from my heart that I always felt when we move around the globe with our partners (be it their transfers or new opportunities) and we would be called Trailing spouse ……. not acceptable ……. we took the decision to sacrifice everything and move to keep the family together.so surely we are Leading spouse. We took the lead to leave back our careers, friends, connections and take up new challenges of moving to new place, new culture. We adapt and help the family to adapt too. What say ……. appreciate to connect with like minds to BE PROUD of ourselves…..we can surely pour our heart out and discuss on …….

I always wanted to write about this and get view point from like minds.

When I first took my sabbatical from work after 13 years and moved to foreign lands with my partner with his job transfer, my focus was my daughter, my family, my hubby’s great career.

Least was the thought in my mind about the struggles I will have to face. Old friends, career, acquaintance , everything what we take for granted.
